The
first ASR well in Canada was completed during 1999 at Mannheim,
Kitchener-Waterloo, Ontario. Water from the Grand River is treated
and stored in a shallow, semi-confined sand aquifer and is recovered
to help meet peak demands. ASR expansion is planned to begin during
2002. |
